This machine [ serial numbers 651 361 putting its date of birth 1960/1961 making the machine a 221 K and known for the red S on the front plate and that\'s why its called a Red S Featherweight. The machine is made in Great Britain other than the elect motor which is made at St Johns Canada. I think its one of the best featherweights we/you canfind. All the decals are intact, clear and clean. the Red S is also the only machine with the light on/off switch on the light which is a good idea. the machine has been cleaned, oiled and ready set to sew. the case is also over 50 years old and has been used a lot however its in nice shape and should serve for many years yet.. the foot controller works fine and the electcord came with the machine and also in good condition. you will also find the book that comes with the featherweight and more often than not ismissing. A few small pin marks can be found on the deck but must be considered very minor. the belt is almost new and the motor runs strong. Because of the machines age I need to sell the featherweight as is.
