I see that this title was still being used as a school reader / textbook in the 2000s – this particular copy is what you might have read in the late 1960s to 1970 –

This is an SRA reader an the Level stated is C – but I do not know grade that might apply to – (I think that was the original idea!) I do show you some of the pages, so maybe you will be able to tell.

Interesting time change for an elementary reader – in the 1960s children was always white in the stories – in this vintage 1970 book you begin to see children with skin of various hues – I try to show you in my scans -

It is an ex-school text – school stamp on a blank interior front page – was used in a small town in Missouri – Belle, MO

Size: approx. 8 3/4ths by 6 5/8ths inches; 154 pages.

Condition: good vintage, does show some cover wear an soiling to covers, the front cover has a bit of “wrinkling” to the front cover, school stamp in interior blank front page – interior pages still rather bright an vivid – in reviewing I see just a couple of pages where a few words are circle or marked (see scan for example) Book securely bound
