Breyer Vintage Gold Charm Running Mare 1960s Decorator Horse - Rare For Sale

This is the Breyer Running Mare mold in the very rare Gold Charm decorator color from the 1960s. She is painted a metallic gold with pink hooves and nose. Unfortunately like a lot of these gold models she's not in perfect condition. Her gold is not as bright and shiny as some and appears more browned, but it does still have some nice luster. When I purchased her she had thick gold paint (maybe nail polish) covering her hooves, mane, and tail. I've been slowly removing it with extended soaking in lestoil, but there are still a few little bits on her mane and tail. The bad news is, for my first attempt at getting it off I submerged one side of her in a lestoil bath and it caused her finish to bubble as you can see in the close up. Argh! Lesson learned! She will need to be restored by someone with more experience than me. But otherwise she's in pretty good shape with a few rubs.
