Sitzendorf 1920’s drink set includes a large ceramic pitcher and 4 mugs. Made in Germany in what was called "Historismus" style with raised hunting scenes. Amazingly XLNT condition for its age! Modelled in relief with hunting scenes on a green band within brown borders, stamped marks.

The Sitzendorf porcelain factory was founded in Germany in 1850 and soon acquired a reputation for their decorative wares influenced by the Royal Saxon porcelain factory at Meissen. During the second half of the 19th century there was a great fashion throughout Europe for looking back to a golden, pre-industrial age and this fashion was particularly popular in Germany where it was referred to as Historismus. This drink set was made in this Historismus style with hunting scenes.
