This collection of plates was kept in the collector's personal collection and was purchased by me after his death. All the paper inscriptions containing all the necessary information about these antique items were preserved on the plates.

Fine set of six antique English pewter plates bearing the historic Yates London touchmark.

These elegant plates are produced in the classic Georgian form, with a broad rim and shallow central well measuring approximately 9.5 inches in diameter. The reverse side features multiple traditional pewter marks including a partially preserved Yates circular touchmark, MADE IN LONDON, and additional verification stamps including crown and hallmarks associated with English pewter production.

The design reflects the long tradition of London pewterers, inspired by the work of Richard Yates, an important pewter maker active in London during the late 18th century.
