A large and impressive porcelain figurine of a reclining St. Bernard dog by Rosenthal (Germany). This is model K262/I by the well known artist Fritz Diller, bearing a hallmark dating production to the 1930's. A stunning figurine with outstanding modeling and detail, with a soft and subtle naturalistic decoration. This large figurine measures 12" long by 2 1/2" tall. It has been in my personal collection since 1991, kept in a cabinet behind glass. No chips, cracks, repairs or restorations as examined under black light and lighted magnification.
