This example is outstanding. First, when they turn up, most are iron,

not brass and they generally are

from 1915 or so, not with patent dates from the late 1800's. Second, even though this hasslight condition issues:

1. a small partial fissure in the rim above the tube (photo).

2. Rain or mist may have caused minor spotting in areas of the brass surface.

3.The glass has very slight abrasions.

4. The device for raising and lowering the interior wick is hard to turn,

and does not raise or lower the wick,

which is still there.

(Perhaps it may be cleaned and will work, I don't know.)

Note: The last photo is of a Ford Model T with similar kerosene headlamps,

but they are not identical and date a few years later.

SIZE: About 13 inches tall by 7 inches wide.
