Pair 19th C. H. Ardant Paris Porcelain Chinoiserie Vases, Celeste Blue:

This pair of porcelain vases were produced in France by Henri Ardant & Cie between 1858 and 1878. They are marked HA & Co. with numbers 549 in high relief. The painters numbers in red are 5472. The vases are 9 7/8 inches tall, 6 1/4 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches deep. They have oval shapes, pedestal base, molded ring handles and cone shape neck. The side coloring is celeste blue, favored by the Sevres factory. The front of each vase has a hand painted scenes of a Chinese man and woman seated in landscapes of tress, foliage and mountains. They are painted in fine detail and vibrant colors. The backs of these vases are painted with different landscapes, garden pavilions and distant vistas. There are gilded accents and gold trim. To insure safe delivery, they will be packed separately. #E157 This piair is in exceptional condition for its 168-year age.
