This very rare and unique black and white photograph captures the Grant Centenary celebration in Point Pleasant, Ohio on April 27, 1922. The photo is an original, one-of-a-kind piece printed on paper and sized at 43" x 6.5". The image showcases a variety of subjects including President Grant's birthplace, the buildings, hundreds of women, men, and children, military personnel, houses, a real landmark monuments, highlighting this historical occasion in the time period. You can see the Bell speakers used on the bandstand where President and Mrs. Harding spoke for the celebration. Taken by photographer Clarence E.
