Up for sale is a original Chelsea Williamsburg "Wythe House" Mantel (Bracket) Clock, produced under official license from the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.

This model is a faithful reproduction of an late 18th-century English bracket clock housed in the historic George Wythe House in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Condition & Functionality

Operational Status: Fully operational. The 8-day key-wind time-and-strike movement runs smoothly and strikes cleanly on the half-hour and hour.

Overall Condition: Outstanding, well-preserved condition throughout. Shows light, age-appropriate cosmetic wear consistent with careful display and handling over the decades.

Included Accessories: Includes its original fan-shaped Chelsea winding key and the original Chelsea instruction booklet.

Serial Number: 704,xxx (stamped directly on the solid brass movement back plate).

Date of Manufacture: Based on Chelsea Clock Company production logs, serial numbers in the 704,000 range date the movement's manufacture to circa 1967–1968.

Cabinet / Case: Solid mahogany wood cabinet crafted under license by the Kittinger Furniture Company, featuring light holly wood line inlay framing the lower front face.

Hardware: Solid cast brass top carrying handle, front face bezel, hinges, latch, and bracket feet.

Movement: Heavy-gauge, precision-machined solid brass plates and gear train with a jeweled lever escapement.

Chime: Blued steel spiral gong mounted on a solid brass block.

Dial: Brass dial plate with a silvered/white chapter ring, black Arabic numerals, and blued steel hands.
