This is from the scene in Wizards "With these ancient pieces he built a new war machine. Still, his generals needed more to fight with. This drove Blackwolf mad with frustration...". Published and Seen at the 16:35 mark of Ralph Bakshi's 1977 fantasy classic Wizards.The piece is displayed in a 40" x 18" Plexiglas frame with an image area of 32" x 9.5".
The detail in the tanks and planes are uncanny. Notice the warriors are identical to the Ring Wraiths from Lord of the Rings that he would do after this with Bakshi. You can even see the Frank Frazetta Death Dealer influence on those characters.This is the most detailed piece I have ever seen by Mike Ploog and is the largest of his works for Wizards being equivalent to 4 of the regular size boards used in the movie.
