Buddhist or Hindu Temple Wall Ornament

Mounted on Teak Wood Frame

This is a magnificentold Temple Wall Ornament that a picked up during one of my expeditions around Southeast Asia. It has been mounted on a teak wood frame. I am not certain about the age of this piece, so it could be either Buddhist or Hindu in origin. Lots of Buddhist & Hindu alters and temples were dismantled or destroyed all over Cambodia during and right after the reign of the Khmer Rouge and many of them made their way out of Cambodia. Nowadays, however, temple relics such as this magnificent masterpiece are increasingly difficult to find and procure. This is one of the best restored and complete pieces I have found in a very long time. Judging from its condition, it was probably an interior wall decoration. It will make a wonderful conversation piece andis a must-have for any collector or Hindu or Buddhist believer. If you find yourself drawn to it, I highly recommend that you buy it now.

DIMENSIONS: APPROX 16 inches X 13 inches with frame. Relic alone, without the frame, is approx 10 inches X 7 inches.(Can be seen in photos above)
