Rare 19thC Pair of Statues featuring Charlemagne & Clovis

Pair 19thC Medieval King Mantle Statues

This is a Very Impressive and Seldom seen Pair of late 19th Century Cast Spelter metal Statues featuring the Italian King Charlemage or Charles the Great and the French King Clovis which were both Responsible (in one fashion or another) for Spreading Christianity. This Pair is Very Unique and Very Difficult to Find. This is the Only Pair that we have Come Across and have Never even Seen them Listed in a Book. They most likely started life in the 1870\'s or 1880\'s as Mantle Garnitures or Statues that would flank a Mantle Clock. They both Display very well with and light age wear to the finish and Charlemagne is missing the blade to his Sword. The period wooden bases are as Solid as can be and both Statues display well with Impressive attention to detail in the Casting. This Pair is Guaranteed to Impress.
