This is from my Avery Victorian needle case collection. This is in great shapeand was made in the 1880\'s. W. Avery and Sons patented most of these and had licensing arrangements with firms to allow them to put their name on the needle case. These Avery style needlcases are very collectible. There is a great website Avery Needle Case Resource Center. This is is made of brass is and ispictured on the cover of \"Victorian Brass Needlecases\" book written by Estelle Horowitz and Ruth Mann as well as on many pages in the book.Their book isone of the best resourceson these beautiful types of very nice one that is 5\" across and 2 1/4\" high. I have 4 photos from various angles to show you how nice this is. I hate to part with it. My house is so full and I need to start downsizing. There are 4 packets of needles that came with it when I bought it.
