A small hand held oil lantern with door on the front that has a \"bull\'s eye\" look to it. The round piece of glass in the door is cracked across the middle, but not loose. It has the original black finish with L.P. T.B. stenciled on both sides in white. The lantern is in good used shape with the paint finish worn and somewhat chipped (as would be expected for a lantern used on the job in the 1860\'s). It has a wonderful patina. It needs a small lamp inside. I believe may have had heavy wire handles soddered on back for carrying. The catch for the latchon the door has come off (I have taped to inside of door-needs to be soddered back on).About 6 3/4th\"s tall x 4 1/2\"s deep. Thank you for shopping by. Questions are welcome.
