Anglo Indian Carved Dragons Stationary-Correspondence Box.Early 20th C:

Measures 9.5\"tall by 14.5\"across and a depth of 8\".

In totally original condition.

Superb heavy detailed carving of Dragons in ornate fine carved borders.

Made in Kashmir.India in 1926 and signed by the carver \"A.P\".

This box is quality made,with a nice weight of 3.030 kilos,indicating a hard wood of some kind,probably padouk wood or teak.

Great usable antique and displays superbly in any period or contemporary setting.

Very hard to find in this condition..
In good overall condition for age, has minor marks hear and there,Carving is stunning.

Has original lock and key that works,small drawer at bottom open and closes fine.

Has small repair to interior divider(photo 11).And some old restoration to base(photo 12) which is nothing major,but noted and does not detract from this beautiful box in anyway.

Has some dirt in recesses, and does need a clean and wax to bring back to its true original beauty.

Stunning when displayed from all angles...

Please note this box is nearly 90 years old and has some wear and tear commensurate with age and use.

Weigh 3.030 kilos unwrapped

Will display superbly in any period or contemporary setting.
