Antique Chinese carved Baltic Amber Cameo clothing ornament 18th century Up for sale is a very rare antique Chinese carved Baltic amber clothing ornament. Measuring approx. 1 and 11/16”tall and approx. 1.25” wide and weighing approx. 7.9 grams, this beautiful butterscotch colored amber carving is extremely old, I believe from research to be from the 18th century. It is carved on one rounded side in the image of flowers and possibly the sun. The piece has 3 tiny drilled holes, one of which appears sealed and one of which has chipped through to the edge. There is somechipping along the outer border of the carving, most likely from age and wear. This amazing piece has been in a friends collection for over 40 years and was purchased as an antique whenacquired. I believe this to be well over 200 years old.
