Here is a fantastic miniature portrait of a distinguished young lady, likely a Royalty
Fancy period attire, including a crown, Hermine cloak and a ruby brooch, holding to her cape
Masterful depiction of the beautiful face!
Very, very fine craftsmanship
When the backing is taken apart, a handwritten inscription on the back paper is revealed (along with what remains of an old tag), in ink: PAULINE GONDI (or so) - most likely the name of the depicted woman, possibly that of the artist or previous owner
Framed in a gilt brass frame and under convex glass
