A fine and impressive pair of antique George V English sterling silver candlesticks in the Arts and Crafts style; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection.

These fine antique George V English sterling silver candlesticks have a plain square form in the classic Arts and Crafts style.

The plain hallmarked waisted cylindrical capital to each candlestick surmounts a circular rounded drip pan.

The capitals are supported by plain faceted tapering columns embellished with a broad band of rivet decoration to the lower portion.

The circular spreading base is encircled with an applied rivet style decorated border which continues to the corners of the plain swept base.

The bases of these impressive Arts and Crafts candlesticks are weighted, as to be expected, and are fitted with green baize to the underside.

Condition

These antique Arts and Crafts candlesticks are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rim of each base, and part hallmarks to each capital are all very clear.
