\"Betsy\'s Old Glory\" is an Original Primitive Punch Needle, securely mounted on a grain painted pine hornbook of my own creation. The hornbook measures approximately 9\"h x 7\"w x 1/2\" finished in warm primitive colors. I have designed this primitive punch needle inspired by the 1776 American Revolution\'s Betsy Ross rendition. The official \'Stars & Stripes\' was adopted by Congress in 1777, depicting 13 stars on a blue background & 13 alternating red & white stripes, representing the original 13 colonies. Hand punched on weaver\'s cloth. I use primarily Valdani threads, all in primitive colors. I PUNCH ALL MY WORKS COMPLETELY BY HAND w/ A HAND HELD NEEDLE, THE OLD-FASHIONED WAY, NO SEWING MACHINE ATTACHMENTS ARE USED. TRULY HAND DONE PUNCH NEEDLE IS HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE. Several hours are required to complete each piece. Ready to display. The punch needle measures 4\" x 3 1/2\"; my custom label is attached to the back side of the hornbook. Two tiny rusty bells are attached with twine, as well as, a USA Zinc Alloy charm. These little Folk Art treasures will only go up in value.
