Description: GermanFantastic Sharks Tooth Sword. Dating to late 1800s - early 1900s, made in the Gilbert Islands known as Tungaru (formerly Kingsmill Islands) in the Republic of Kiribati in the South Pacific Ocean. The sword is made from sharks teeth, seasoned wood of a coconut palm, coconut hair and human hair. Others like this are in museums such as the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago and American Museum of Natural History in New York. Shark tooth swords similar to this one have revealed lost species of sharks.
Specs: 34.5\" long x 1\" round
Condition:In very good condition. Tip has some wear and some teeth are missing or chipped. Please see pictures.
