this is not a weapon and no banned symbols present !Vintage German WWII mountain climbing badge tinnie- hat pin OR STOCKNAGEL. Edelweiss. This is a nice example of a WWII gebirgs summit badge. Also sometimes called Austrian fashion edelweiss. This one is IN a great shape. Simple two layer tin. Just a tad under 1\" in length. This is a pure cap pin. Stitch on only. Bought a bunch in a cardboard box dated 1939. Similar tinnies can be seen on Gebirgsjager hats in both WWI & WWII. This shows no signs of wear ! Cleaning up before the move.
