Albert Ernest Green came from St. Just, Cornwall (born 18th August 1851) and joined the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class on 9th May 1866, aged 15. Height 4\' 10\" and weighing 90 lbs. Petty Officer in 1871 the rose to commissioned rating. Pensioned 27th Dec. 1889.
A A.E. Green (Pensioner - Chief Petty Officer) died in service in 1917 of illness serving on H.M.S. Blenheim, further research is required to establish if it was the same man.
