Albert Ernest Green came from St. Just, Cornwall (born 18th August 1851) and joined the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class on 9th May 1866, aged 15. Height 4\' 10\" and weighing 90 lbs. Petty Officer in 1871 then rose to become a commissioned rating. He was pensioned off on 27th December 1889.
