Description:
For your consideration is this stunning trio in the black \" Oriental \" pattern produced by Royal Albert. All pieces have a backstamp for the c1950\'s plus the name \" Oriental \". I will be closing my shop over December and January as I will be on vacation.
The decoration featured on the cups is of a pagoda, cranes in flight and a pink blossom tree on a black background. The decoration to the saucers is an oriental garden scenes featuring a pagoda, a man, horses, cranes and a lake on a black background. The handle to the cup and the all rims have a gold trim. Each piece rings when lightly tapped.
The cup measuresfrom rim to handleapproximately 11cms and rim to rim 9cms and 7.5cms in height. The saucer measures approximately 13.75cms in diameter and the side plate measures approximately 16cms in diameter.
Thiswould make a superb addition to any china collection or grace any teaparty. Please view all photos as this is part of thedescription/condition and excuse any camera glare or reflections.
Mychina is pre-loved and may show signs of use, firing specks, ash,glaze bubbles, kiln marks, imperfections and minor wear. Allmajor faults found will be described in the conditions. Anyrequests for further information or additional pictures will beprovided.
Condition:
The trio is in very good condition. The gold trim is in very good condition showing hardly any wear, if none at all. The cup has a of small white dots the sizeof a pin head to the rim of the cup near the pagoda. It appears to be a manufacturing fault where the black paint has not cover properly. This may be seen in photo 7. There is a small amount of black paint missing on the saucer where the cup has rest just near the horses tail and this can be seen in photo 6. These faults have been mentioned for accuracy and do not take away any of the beauty to this stunning set. There nochips, pattern loss, cracks or restoration & no apparentcrazing.
