Here is a magnificent, large sterling silver urn/vase. It weighs 2lbs. 15oz., stands 9\" high, is 6.5\" across the bottom and 13\" across the top. There is no added weight such as resin or cement, this is all sterling silver. Sterling pieces of this size, quality and beauty are hard to find.Truly, this is a stunning piece for the center of a fine table or buffet...just in time for holiday entertaining! It is monogrammed on one side. The letters seem to be \"AML\". In one area on the side, there a slight dent, about an inch. You have to look for it as it is practically undetectable. The motif consists of a few flowers surrounded by flowing leaves and raised scroll work.This striking piece was made by the prestigious Graff, Washbourne and Dunn Sterling Silver company and is appropriately hallmarked. This company was absorbed by Gorham Sterling in the mid 20th century. It has very little tarnish and shows very well. In a separate sale are the two matching candlesticks. This set makes a remarkably beautiful & memorable ensemble.
