VERY GOOD CONDITION

there are 3 surface rubs – each about 1/8” wide – where the outerlayer of the pottery has come off – you can see all three spots in the photospretty well. the missing sliver is less than 1/64th inch deep

FawnNavasie-Garcia, \"formerly Little Fawn\", was born in 1959 into theHopi reservation. She was inspired to continue the family tradition of makingpottery by her late mother, the famous \"Eunice (original Fawn)Navasie\". Eunice taught Fawn the fundamentals of traditional Hopi potterymaking. Early on, Fawn specialized in the white slip pottery her mother taughther to make which, according to Fawn, is much more difficult.

Fawnhas been making pottery since 1979 and specializes in elegant polychrome buffor yellow slipped pottery. Fawn coils a wide variety of shapes like weddingvases, egg shaped pots and bowls. Her designs originate from the Sikyatki Ruins(yellow earth, it’s the name of a former village at the Hopi reservationlocated two miles north of First Mesa). Fawn signs her pottery: Fawn, followedby a fawn hoofprint.
