One of akindFEATHERED STAR AND APPLIQUE QUILT withcandy stripborder from the 1850s. This quiltcame fromafamily in Tyler Ct. Shiloh West Virginia. The size of the quilt is 77\" by 77\". The quilt is all HAND APPLIQUED and HAND QUILTED at 8 to 10 tiny stitches per inch.EVERY INCH of this quilt is literally covered with quilting. Feathered pineapples andSTIPPLE quilting everywhere! The quilt is soft and the fabrics are all cotton with a thin cotton batting with seeds when held to the light. The quilt has been HAND LAUNDERED, and is ready to use, it is quite sturdy !The quilt has a binding that is worn. Slight mellowing of the redsand greens, faded a slight bit as shown.We had this quilt hanging in the great room and everybody fell in love with it! Add this quilt to your growing collection today.
