Octagonal Silver Marriage or Wedding Box from the Metropolitan Museum of Art:

Offering a very nice Silver Marriage Box made by the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The Box is engraved on all sides with Victorian Figures.
It is in anoctagonal shape and has a gold wash inside and under the lid and stands on 3 ball legs.
This is a Reproduction from a Dutch Friesland Box from the 17th & 18th Century.
I do not know if the Box is Sterling Silver or Silver Plate.
This Box is marked only on the bottom with \" MMA \" and a paper sticker \" MADE IN PORTUGAL \".
It is 2 5/8\" tall and is 2 1/8 \" wide.
It is in very good condition but it has a small dent and some scratches on one top edge. Not visible when the Box is closed. See the last picture.
