Old Fine 19th Century Finely Carved South Eastern Queensland Boomerang.

This lovely old boomerang of crescent form, with a finely worked totemic design to the surface divided into zones by narrow bands filled with incised parallel line pattern. The depiction here of leaves most likely represents those which contributed fruit for food or wood for manufacture of objects of importance.

There is a section missing to one end of the boomerang.

Old glossy patina all over.
