Primitive Old German Style Brown Woodsman Santa Claus:

This Santa was inspired by an old German Santa.

His coatand pants aremade from a piece of old brown wool homespun with some of the original binding stitches left on the hem of the coat. I have trimmed his collar and cuffs of his coat with some old brownfur.He has a piece of jute for his belt.

His pants are ties at the ankles with a piece of brown string.

He hasbrown clothboots and is mounted on an old board.

He has a face molded from an old German candy mold, that is painted and sealed.

I have usedgray woolfor his beard.

He has a smallSanta bag on his belt, and I have made him a leather bag filled with preserved greenery, red berries and sticks. He is holding a stick. He has a leather strip of bells over his shoulder.

Santa is about 19 1/2\" tall.
