SilverCrest is trademark used by Smith Metal Arts Co. founded by Frederick C Smith in 1919 after the sudden death of Otto Heintz-his employer. This unique vase is decorated with an applied image of a spray of Lily-of-theValley flowers. I believe the application to be sterling, however I am not an expert. This was known to be his style. The texture \'Gold Dore\' finish was developed by Otto Heintz. The vase is 6\" tall, 2 1/4\" across the top and 1 5/8\" across the base. The mouth is intentionally not level. It is stamped with \'SilverCrest Decorated Bronze\' hallmark with Smith Metal Arts logo and \'2004\' style number. In good condition, has not been polished. Vase has a small dent on shoulder in the back and also has a barely detectable flat impression on the side which is possibly from point of manufacture.(Marked by white stickers in 5th photo) I don\'t have any other pieces to compare it with. A similar piece is advertised on Ruby Lane for 295.00. My camera won\'t give me a clear picture of the stamped bottom.
