This is a beautiful and rare early Royal Doulton figurine from the HN series.HN97 The Mermaid, designed by Henry TittensorFirst issued in 1918 and discontinued in 1936This model is impressed 224 - 11.19 indicating November 1919 as the month and year of manufacture
The pretty mermaid sits on a rock; her long, blond hair is woven with seaweed and she wears a string of coral beads.
A really lovely and hard to find piece!
In excellent, undamaged condition with no chips, cracks and no restoration.
