Rare and collectible Sampson Mordan novelty No.8 silver chick pin cushion 1907:

For sale today is an antique novelty Sampson Mordan chick pin silver cushion a little over 1in in length. The silver needs a little polishing and the cushion has wear but you can still see a little of its original colour. The silver is in very good condition with no splits or breakages or dents. The workmanship is excellent for such a small object and typical of the sampson mordan co. The chick looks like it has broken out of its shell. The base has all the information namely: makers name Sampson Mordan and Co./ Lion passant for silver/ date letter g for 1907/ assey office is Chester(closed in 1962)/ Rd No. 475678. The hallmarks are clear, this is a lovely object and a great gift for someone.
