A Rare Royal Doulton Flambe Ware with Gorham Sterling Silver Overlay stoppered claret jug or decanter marked D 1436. This piece maypossiblybe a factory second and hasinconsistenciesin the glaze color. The sterling overlay has a poppy seed pod or thistle pattern. This piece measures about 8\"H by 6\" W. This piece has some wear. There are scratches and abrasions, some what looks like small bubbles in the clear glaze and some wear to the red on the bottom of the jug. The cork has broken off and some of it is in the jug. There is wear to the sterling overlay. There are chips to the bottom rim of the stopper.
