*SIGNED* Franklin Roosevelt \"The Democratic Book 1936\" #244/2500!SIGNED by the President beneath a color image of the White House on the limitation leaf, #244 of an unstated limitation of 2500 copies. This copy isembossed with the name \"Ernest W. Coxwell\" on the cover.As you will note, the signed page is in immaculate shape, with the tissue paper facing it in great condition and intact. The book is laying on bubble wrap for the photos. There is damage to the leather cover/binding as you can see and the page in Photo #9 is torn in two places, but still bound. The first and second thicker brown pages are in great shape, intact.
Hardcover. First Edition. Folio (11\" x 14\") in the original full brown leather cover with gilt lettering on the front cover and the original pictorial wraps bound in; 384 pages. This is a *heavy* book, weighing about 8 pounds. Will be shipped securely by UPS, heavy bubble wrap, and insured.
This book was used as a fund raiser for the Democratic Party containing FDR\'s acceptance speech, the Democratic Platform of 1936, and biographies of all the Cabinet members as well as articles on Congress, the Supreme Court, the Cabinet departments, and reproductions of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. The book cost $250.00 at the time.
The book is worn,compared to other copies for sale on for $3000-$4000+, but still a wonderful rare copy with President Franklin Roosevelt\'s signature.
