Vintage San Juan Pottery Handmade Geometric Micaceous Clay Pot ~ Rosita Cata~

This is a beautiful handcrafted and incised geometric red ware pottery bowl that glitters from the micaceous clay that was used in this vintage piece by Rosita Cata (born in 1950) Master potter in the San Juan Pueblo, NM. It is signed Rosita Cata San Juan Pue. It has a spot on bottom where part of the tag remains. It has a few small white pops probably from the firing process. Please see pictures for best description. It measures 4 1/2\" tall X 7 1/2\" wide X 23 3/4\" in circumference. It is a wonderful piece and anyone who loves native American pottery will love this bowl. It came from an estate of a well known geographer\'s art collection who bought and displayed it proudly. Base used in pics is not included.
