The pendant is full of Native American symbols, the 4 directions, the kiva, the rain, the wind,and thehogan. If you buy the pendant, I can give you a detailed map for the symbols on the pendant.

Just look at the amazing overlay work in the silver - all hand done and with flawless detail. And hisincredible inlay work - I hope you can see that theturquoise is made up of many tiny mosaic piecesfit together so perfectly that it looks like one piece, until you look closer.

The white mother of pearl inlaidinto the jet stripe looks lovely but when you realize how difficult it would be to inlay such tiny pieces, youbegin to appreciate what a master artist Tim Yazzie is.

Tim realized his love for art as a young man. He collaborated with Hopi artistChalmers Day,and Navajo artist Jimmy Harrison, Tim traded ideas with thesetwo amazing artists,and from then on, his amazing one of a kind art was born.

His work is still very rare as he left jewelry making for 8 years and came back to it 2 years ago withrenewed enthusiasm and skill.

The pendant comes with the braided black leather cord which has sterling silver ends and a signedsterlingclasp also made personally by Tim Yazzie, but it can be worn with a silverchain or any other beads - the loop is a generous½\" high and¼\" wide.

The pendant is is 2 & 5/16\" wide and 6 & 6/16\" high without the loop, definitely big enough to make astatement.

Note: There is another Navajo silversmith with the same name but hisjewelry is very different so be careful not to get them confused.
