Vintage 1960\'s Tootsietoy Corvair slot car in very nice running condition. The reason it is so nice is because the car has been reconditioned, it has been cleaned, painted and detailed making it show stopper. These are a rare because they came out at about the same time the Aurora model motoring cars came along and they folded up against the competition. Aurora\'s pan cake motors, light weight cars and extensive selection made them the kids choice at the time. These had a made in the USA die cast metal body but a made in Japan running chassis and were assembled more like a Match Box car since they used two insert pins to hold them together. Since the were not made to come apart when they died they died and you just tossed them. That was not the case with the Aurora Thunder Jet cars since you could take them apart not only for repair but you could hot rod them with factory and aftermarket parts too. This Corvair is painted in a metallic blue with detailed head lights, bumpers and taillights. The running gear has been cleaned and the chassis is now removal able by just removing the front frame screw and sliding it forward.
