$465.00

Comes with old Japanese hard shell case which originally belonged to a bass guitar but protects the Squier nicely. The case is definitely worn, but is fully functional and all latches work excellent.

This is a quite rare and **nice** vintage E-Series Royal Contemporary Stratocaster from the Fujigen-Gakki days. Fret life is 100%. Not 98% —> 100% of the original fretwire is present with not a dent or dip anywhere in the wire - it can’t be the standard nickel used nowadays. The neck is straight and true, and the truss rod works as it should. Strong dual-action truss rod on this one.

The nice slab of fretboard is in great condition as well. The little wear that is has is minimal and honest. It is also pictured.

It does have the common small neck pocket cracks that don’t pose a problem now or in the future. When you have 2 variant species of wood that expand and contract at different rates, this is going to happen sooner or later. I have verified that the cracks are finish only.

This one has a nice aged white look and comes with the original vibrato bar and heavy tremolo block. It also has that nice bell chime in the neck/middle position. There are lots of pickup combination possibilities due to the original switching setup. The best offer humbucker can also be split. The lead wiring is purple and red. Combined with the sound, these look to be Gotoh knock-offs of Texas Specials. Don’t let the term “copies” turn you off. They copied stuff so well that they were hired.

You’re also looking at a medium (think Gibson) 24.75” scale length with a 7.5” radius and 3/16ths nut width. It feels very similar to my Eric Johnson neck...think “D” shape.

Happy offerding on a rare and solid axe. If you can get past the Squier moniker, you’ll benefit from this add to your collection. Currently, I have Schaller Strap-Locks and Graph-Tek string trees installed. I still have the originals that will ship. The strings were removed so I could give the frets a quick polishing with 0000 steel wool.
