This is an absolutely GORGEOUS 100% authentic Lucille de Paris Crocodile or Alligator handbag, that has a long gold and crocodile shoulder strap and a BEAUTIFUL gold clasp, augmenting the envelope style body of this extraordinary bag. Personally, I believe the skin is crocodile ad I\'ve been told crocodile skin has tiny hair follicle dots in the center of each scale, and they appear to be visible on the skin of this bag, particularly on the top flap of the envelope.
It is FABULOUSLY CHIC and can be worn going out at night with a miniskirt, full-length skirt or trousers with jewels, or during the day with jeans. The color is a rich, medium brown, and so well put together with the skin design being larger in the middle both in the front and the back, as the skin design becomes tighter and smaller as it goes out to each side. HAND MADE FOR SURE.
The inside is a creamy tan leather, and appears as if it was rarely used. It has the insignia \"Lucille de Paris\" embossed in the inside leather. There is an interior change purse that is lined with silk, and full zippered compartment in the middle of the bag which is lined with a darker brown leather, and another smaller, zippered compartment in the inside as well with an additional interior flap.
The same woven gold- design clasp is evident also on the top of the bag: two woven gold ovals in which the strap attaches on a thin, delicate bar.
There is a small, thin ink mark/line at the top of the front of the bag, which measures about 3/4\" of an inch long, and is visible in the pictures. To see it clearly, look at the second to last picture posted, there is a close-up of it. You can also barely make it out in the first and also last pictures, which show the whole front of the bag. To me, it is hardly visible at all when worn, as I didn\'t even see it on the bag until I was inspecting it closely to post here on .
The skin is worn around the edges as you can see in the pictures, paricularly on the corners on the bottom. There is also wear, but less so, along the sides of the bag; there is a section about 1\" long where the bags fold over where it has detached, but is still intact.
