I inherited this lovely purse from a vintage fashion collector of 1940s - 50s original items.This purse is true vintage, not a reproduction and is in good shape. Llewellyn Inc N.Y.C. is stamped on the inside metal hinge. The handle opens and closes like a picnic basket. The bottom has clear round half dome protectors on each corner. It looks like there used to be two similar protectors on the inside of the cover. Both of these areas have a small screw that protrudes about 1/4 inch and doesn\'t affect the workings or sturdiness. The carving just under the handles goes completely around the purse. The inside and outside have the identical marbled lucite. A lovely timeless piece great for ladies lunch or formal events. It looks great just sitting on a table or housing your collection of buttons or whatever. You will not be disappointed.
