Exquisite vintage Sandizell, Hoffner & Co. Dresden lace hand painted porcelain ballerina figurine. Made oin Germany-Saxony, dated early 1960\'s. Very HARD TO FIND and unique Sandizell, Hoffner & Co. figurine. Wonderful delicate sculptured ballet pose. This beautiful ballerina has a fine delicate porcelain pink lace tutu w/white lace. Gold shoes & trim. Detailed yellow rose in hair & base. Gorgeous painted face. Distinctive piece.
Because of the very delicate nature of the real lace dipped in liquid porcelain (lace dissolves while leaving the porcelain mold). It has some typical chipping. Due to the very thin and delicate fingers, they usually don\'t last over the years. The realistic muscle tone on the figurine is fabulous. Superior collectible find.
