Up for offer is the most Incredible Victorian Era Pendant I\'ve ever seen !!....This is Very Old....It is in Amber or Amber colored Glass...There is a real Scorpion Speciman inside of the Amber or Glass...It is heart shaped and encased in some kind of filigree Butterfly and Flower Design metal...With a loupe, it looks Like it could be Gold and then It looks Silver or even brassy color..It must be one of these metals because there is removable tarnish....My best guess is that it might have been a light gold wash over silver but that is only a guess....Since I don\'t know what the metal is, I listed it under Costume Jewelry instead of Fine Jewelry....Since this is old, you can see the soldering material used to attached the metal pieces and on backside (shown in photo with penny), you can see a solder repair on the back where there must have been a butterfly at one time like in the front and now that butterfly is gone and solder was used to fill in the gap...Where that butterfly used to be, there is now a sharp point on one of the flowers that needs to be filed down so you don\'t prick your finger on it....This item measures 2 1/4\" tall including the bail and is 1 3/4\" wide....My main gallery photo is me holding the item up to a window so you can see the amber color and the scorpion better....Unbelievable Antique Piece !!
