- Up for sale is an original antique tribal artifact from Papua New Guinea
- It is a Sago Ladle or scoop, all hand carved from a single piece of native exotic wood
- Sago is a traditional staple food of the island, extracted from the center of some native Palm tree stems
- Grooved handle and scoop
- A stylized Ritual mask in the center of the piece, on both sides
- From the Tami Islands Cultures in the Huon Gulf, Eastern Papua New Guinea
- This piece has a dark wood finish

- Condition: Please see photos below. All original. Nice patina, developed over time. Age crackelure and evidence of minor scuffs. Some dirt and discolorations
