MEDINA ENGLISH IRONSTONE BLUE 11” OVAL PLATTER J. F. & CO., 1848 STAFFORDSHIRE
This is for one (1) ironstone Transferware Medina oval platter by J. F. & Co., 1848.It has blue scenes on rim and center. It is multisided.The Medina pattern depicts people in a garden with mountains, mosques, and other types of architecture in the background. The central scene is surrounded by smaller scenes of ships and boats.It was made by Jacob Furnival & Company. Furnival was in business from 1845 to 1870. The platter is 11” by 8 ¾” and 1” from table to rim.There are no chips, cracks, stains or scratches. It does have crazing and a manufacturing burst bubble near edge in front.It is marked “Medina, J. F. & C” on bottom.
