\"ROSIE THE RIVETER\" RARE WWII $5-$25 PUNCH BOARD - (L@@K):
$2500.00

The pinnacleof home front collecting! Here is a very rare $5-$25 punch board that features \"Rosie the Riveter\"- a World War II cultural icon.Although, I did once own a \"Rosie\' the Riviters\' Sister\" punch board many years ago, this is the first known \"Rosie the Riveter\" punch board I\'ve seen in 40+ years of collecting home front memorabilia. The size of the Rosie board is 17\" x 17\" x 1\". The punch board is in very good condition and protected by plastic wrap on a 1-inchStyrofoambacking. There is one hole punched on the board at the bottom. I\'m not sure if the punch is still attached on the back of the punch board, as this is the way I received it, and I really don\'t want to remove this scarce collectible from its secure wrapping. The two left corners (see photos) show very slight edge wear, otherwise Rosie is ready to find her new home. Any questions, email the seller. Winning buyer will pay $17.40 shipping.Rosie the Riveter- A World War II icon-Rosie the Riveteris acultural iconof World War II, representing the women who worked in factories and shipyards duringWorld War II, many of whom producedmunitionsand war supplies. These women sometimes took entirely new jobs replacing the male workers who joined the military. Rosie the Riveter is used as a symbol offeminismand women\'s economic power.Similar images ofwoman war workersappeared in other countries such as Britain and Australia. Images of women workers were widespread in the media as government posters, and commercial advertising was heavily used by the government to encourage women to volunteer for wartime service in factories.Rosie the Riveterbecame the subject and title of a song and a Hollywood movie during WWII.
