This is an original antique Jenkins Brothers 1/2 InchSteam Whistle. It reads Jenkins Bros on one side of the valve and 1/2 150 on the other. This valve has beenpolished and has a clear coat finish. It appears to be lightly used. The valve is tight as it should be, but does have a slight leak when I tried it on air. It may just need lapped if you want an airtight seal. This valve is suitable for a steam or air whistle for a sawmill boiler, smaller scale steam locomotive, ship, tugboat, riverboat paddle wheeler, steamship, traction engine boiler, steam tractor, traction engine, etc.
