This is a model of aUSS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) (\"Ike\"). She is homeported in Norfolk, at part of the Atlantic Fleet. She is the second Nimitz Class aircraft carrier built. The Eisenhower is 1,092 feet long and weighs over 113,000 tons. She is capable of operating unrefueled for 20-25 years. Her Air Wing, Carrier Air Wing 3,has as many as 90 aircraft and helicopters.Thisis large even at 1/2400 scale. This model of theEisenhower is outstanding.The model wears US Navy camouFlage scheme.The model carries various aircraft including F-14s, A-6s, S-2, E-3 and helicopters. Herflight deck decals are very nice and make the ship look more realistic.She has been given several finish coats to protect the paint. She is made of pewter. This ship will look great as part of your fleet.The ship is made by GHQ and is 1/2400 scale*.
