Attention, WW II memorabilia enthusiasts and history buffs! Here\'s a listing for a lot of two (2) Regional Aeronautical Charts from seven decades ago. One chart is dated during the war--June 15, 1944--and is marked RESTRICTED. The second chart is dated April 2, 1946.
The 6/15/44 chart is approximately 47-1/2\" x 32\".
The 4/2/46 chart is approximately 37-1/2\" x 35\".
The charts were constructed on the Lambert conformal conic projection, on which the angles formed by any two lines on the earth\'s surface are correctly represented. These were therefore especially suitable for all forms of radio navigation. The documents were compiled and printed at Washington, D.C., by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey under authority of the Secretary of Commerce.
These documents are in very good condition, exhibiting general wear, oxidation, staining, writing, lines, arrows, and marks. These factors do not, however, detract from the core integrity of these flight charts, serving instead to underscore the vintage authenticity of these top secret documents
